Hey moms! Are you in your family photos?

I’m not talking about those in-your-face-selfies we all have with our favorite humans, you know, many of which were taken with those crazy snapchat filters. Nor am I talking about your yearly 15 minute pilgrimage to a gorgeous location to take perfectly coiffed, posed, family portraiture in your Sunday best. No, I’m talking about those day-to-day photos where someone else recognizes the sweetness of a candid moment and takes a photo of you, a true superwoman, in action.

a Birthday Party, Covid-19 Style

In a nice diversion from the seemingly endless stream of car parades since the start of social isolation, this family rented an ice cream truck and enjoyed socially distant ice cream for their son’s birthday. Indicative of the times, there was a table with plenty of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and handmade masks for guests to take as pandemic party favors.

Authentic newborn sessions in Connecticut and beyond

Looking for a way to remember the wonderfully exhausting and hectic days of life with a new baby? All the sweet little details, introductions, and overwhelming love? Regardless of whether you’re new parents or seasoned parents, you know it’s going to go by in a blur. Why not invest in a documentary newborn session that will take you back in time and help you to remember exactly what those days felt like?

Organic Family Portraits

Yes, organic! Nothing artificial here. Just family, all together, as they go about their day, whether it be an average, run-of-the-mill day or a special, shout-from-the-rooftop kinda day. I love how this type of family portraiture is able to show meaningful relationships, how much families love one another, and individual personalities, not just smiles for the camera with a pretty backdrop.

Why I won’t sell just digital files, after I swore I wouldn’t be “that” photographer

Eventually, I came to the realization that hiring me was like hiring a gourmet chef to take the finest, locally-grown, organic ingredients to prepare the most mouthwatering culinary delights for a lavish dinner party. Only instead of the chef finishing the job and plating the food, they just left it in the pots and pans and bowls for YOU to plate.
