Pictures I wish I had from my childhood, part 2

Hugs and Kisses Edition: Family, where life begins and love never ends.

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and in the spirit of the day, I wanted to share some of my all-time favorite photos I’ve taken of my clients – those that show their affection toward their loved ones. These also happen to be some of the photos I most wish I had of me and my parents (sadly, I didn’t really know any of my grandparents). I don’t think I have a single photo of my mom or dad giving me a big old bear hug or laying a sweet smoocheroo on me. It makes me sad, because I want to see my youthful parents loving on me… as I know they did.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I like to think I bottle up love for my clients. Please reach out if you’re interested in having me photograph your family, your life, your love.

“A child’s kiss is magic. Why else would they be so stingy with them?” ― Harvey Fierstein

“There’s a long life ahead of you and it’s going to be beautiful, as long as you keep loving and hugging each other.” ― Yoko Ono

“A kiss seals two souls for a moment in time.” ― Levende Waters

“Is not a kiss the very autograph of love?” ― Henry Theophilus Finck

“A kiss is a secret told to the mouth instead of the ear; kisses are the messengers of love and tenderness.” – Ingrid Bergman

“A kiss makes the heart young again and wipes out the years.” ― Rupert Brooke

“Hugs and kisses are ways to express what cannot be said.” – Kacie Conroy

“Oh, I love hugging. I wish I was an octopus, so I could hug ten people at a time!” – Drew Barrymore.

“A hug is the bridge between two souls,” – Anoir Ou-Chad

“I have learned that there is more power in a good strong hug than in a thousand meaningful words.” – Ann Hood

“A hug is like a boomerang – you get it back right away.” – Bil Keane

“They invented hugs to let people know you love them without saying anything.” – Bill Keane

On top of all that cuteness, did you know that hugs and kisses can actually improve our health in many ways?! It’s true!! They can lower blood pressure, help us sleep better, reduce stress, lose weight, and boost immune function. So for multiple reasons, hope you all have not just a day, but a year filled with lots of hugs and kisses. And don’t forget to get some photos!

xoxo, Anna
