Authentic newborn sessions in Connecticut and beyond

Looking for a way to remember the wonderfully exhausting and hectic days of life with a new baby? All the sweet little details, introductions, and overwhelming love? Regardless of whether you’re new parents or seasoned parents, you know it’s going to go by in a blur. Why not invest in a documentary newborn session that will take you back in time and help you to remember exactly what those days felt like?

Organic Family Portraits

Yes, organic! Nothing artificial here. Just family, all together, as they go about their day, whether it be an average, run-of-the-mill day or a special, shout-from-the-rooftop kinda day. I love how this type of family portraiture is able to show meaningful relationships, how much families love one another, and individual personalities, not just smiles for the camera with a pretty backdrop.

Photography Challenge for All

Often when our minds are reeling with an overload of emotions, the last thing we feel like doing is, well, anything at all. Who hasn’t been there in the last few, heck, bajillion weeks of ‘social isolation’ (sounds like an oxymoron if you ask me)? Yet these are the times when tapping into our creativity can help us more than we can imagine. Art may not fix things, but it sure can help us cope (or at the very least, provide a diversion). As such, I’ve put together a photo challenge for everyone – regardless of age, camera, or skill level. Hope you have fun with this!

Some questions to ask yourself about your family photographs

There never seems to be a good time, or enough time, but if ever there is a time, it might be now. With most of the world under quarantine, and our minds reeling with the heaviness of everything that is going on, why not set aside some time to “escape” by going through family photos with your loved ones? Revel in your memories. As you do so, I encourage you to think about a few things… and possibly make some changes going forward.

Why I won’t sell just digital files, after I swore I wouldn’t be “that” photographer

Eventually, I came to the realization that hiring me was like hiring a gourmet chef to take the finest, locally-grown, organic ingredients to prepare the most mouthwatering culinary delights for a lavish dinner party. Only instead of the chef finishing the job and plating the food, they just left it in the pots and pans and bowls for YOU to plate.
