Mother’s Day Giveaway · Anna Holden Photography

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and I decided super last-minute (so sorry!) to gift a three-hour documentary family photo session to one lucky mom!! Fear not, there are no strings attached: the winner will also receive an artisan gallery of high-resolution digital files for download.

But first, what is documentary family photography or family photojournalism?? These are photos of your family IN ACTION!! There’s no posing, no directing from me, no looking at the camera, no forced smiles, no matching outfits, no stress. I capture your family as-is, just hanging out, having fun doing whatever it is that y’all love to do. We’ll chat before your session to see what it is that you value, and then I’ll work my butt off to create art that reflects your values.

Sound good to you? Do you know a mom who deserves beautiful photos of her and her family? Are YOU that mom? Since Mother’s Day is so close and I want everyone to have plenty of time to prepare for and enjoy the day, as well as tell me why the mom you’re nominating is most deserving of a free photo session, I’m going to allow entries through May 31st, 2019.

To enter, comment below or send me an email to anna@annaholdenphotography.com telling me who you’d like to nominate and why. Please note, the winner must be willing to sign a model release and live or be willing to travel somewhere within 45 miles of zip code 06447 for the photo session.

I will announce the winner by June 4th, 2019, but anyone that is nominated (go ahead – nominate yourself!) will receive 50% off a three-hour, six-hour or thirteen-hour session when you book by June 30th, 2019 (for session dates throughout 2019). Good luck and Happy Mother’s Day to all you exhausted Mommas out there – the best moms in the whole. wide. world. ❤️ Anna

    Hi Anna!

I’d like to nominate myself for this giveaway…I’m the photographer of the family, I’m always the one behind the camera. My husband never thinks to take photos (even with his cell phone), so by the time I tell him to try to take a shot of a fun or sweet moment I’m having with our son; the moment is lost. I guess I would just love to have some candid and genuine times captured to look back on. As much as I love seeing photos of Jay and Rhys together, it makes me sad when I realized recently we only have photos of Rhys and I when it’s forced, posed, or selfie induced.

Thanks for listening to my complaints and I hope you’re doing well! 🙂

Yay! So glad you nominated yourself!! It’s the same situation for me over here 😞. Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day! xo Anna

Happy Mama’s Day! I am going to self nominate as well because I am so inconsistent (read horrible about it) about photographing my family and need to work harder to create more tangible keepsakes for our future. My children LOVE looking through pictures I have managed to take but they are usually just quick phone shots or selfies. This would be a wonderful way to help memorialize these fleeting moments of my beautiful littles and our time spent together. 😊

It’s so much work – esp. the ‘creating tangible keepsakes’ part, but SO very important!! Happy you nominated yourself! Hope you enjoy your weekend 😊 Anna

Hi! I would like to nominate my friend& neighbor, Lisa Wolfe. Her oldest daughter has spent her 8 years of life battling juvenile arthritis and Lisa is the head of the CT chapter. She works tirelessly to promote the cause and find a cure. She is always so positive. Currently her family will be living in a hotel for several months because her house flooded and is being ripped down to the studs. I know this would make her so happy, and she so deserves it!

You are so sweet to nominate your friend ❤️. It sounds like she is more than deserving. Hope you both have a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Hi Anna! I would like to nominate my sister for this giveaway. She is an amazing mother and also a pediatrician. Even though she is a crazy-busy mom of three, she is kind and giving, and always makes time for me and my three kiddos whenever we need her. She has always been an incredible role model for me. I think she and her family would be a blast to photograph, and I know she would appreciate the opportunity to capture this busy, but fun, season of her life.

Thanks for nominating your sister! You’re so lucky to have each other and be so close! It would be fun to photograph the two of you and your kids together! Hope you both had a great weekend!

    Hi Anna,
I would love to be considered for this wonderful gift. My daughter is getting married in September, and I would love to have a three generation picture taken before her shower and ceremony with my 86 year old mother, her grandmother! I did this with my mom when my grandmother was alive and would love to have this keepsake for my daughter Sondra. Thank you for the consideration and best of luck to all! Happy Mother’s Day!🌺
